Class 2 Service Driver – £35,500 per year

About the role

The Class 2 Service Driver role at PHS Group involves operating a soft‑compaction vehicle to collect offensive waste from healthcare and commercial customers across Exeter. You will follow a pre‑planned route, ensure compliance documentation, and return to the depot each day.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a soft‑compaction vehicle on a daily, pre‑planned route.
• Collect and empty Euro Bins containing offensive waste.
• Complete digital and paper‑based compliance documentation.
• Provide courteous customer service to healthcare and commercial clients.
• Return to the depot each day to unload collected waste.

Required profile

• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 12 months.
• Category C (LGV Class 2) licence.
• Current Driver CPC card.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Maximum 6 penalty points and no disqualifying endorsements in the last 5 years.
• Availability to work within a 6 am–6 pm window, 40 hours per week.
• Reliability, safety‑conscious attitude and good attention to detail.

Required skills

• Category C (LGV Class 2) licence
• Driver CPC certification
• Digital tachograph operation
