Class Teacher (Primary) – Full-time Fixed Term

About the role

Robertswood School is seeking a dedicated Class Teacher for its primary department, covering Reception to Year 6. The successful candidate will work full‑time on a fixed‑term basis, delivering the national curriculum and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment for approximately 400 pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a safe, stimulating classroom environment rooted in mutual respect.
• Set challenging, differentiated goals for pupils of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Model and reinforce the positive attitudes, values and behaviours expected of students.
• Monitor and be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes.
• Adapt teaching strategies to respond to individual strengths and needs.
• Build on pupils’ prior knowledge and capabilities through purposeful planning.
• Maintain strong subject knowledge, sustain pupil interest and address misunderstandings promptly.
