About the role
A successful primary school in Greenwich is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher for a Year 1 class, starting in September 2026. The role combines strong academic expectations with a rich, creative curriculum that includes outdoor learning and arts projects.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver creative and engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
- Support pupils' development in phonics, early writing and mathematics.
- Create a classroom culture that promotes curiosity and independence.
- Use assessment data to identify learning needs and plan next steps.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Required profile
- Holds QTS and recent UK primary teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of early learning and KS1 practice.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils and families.
- Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Brings enthusiasm, energy and a reflective approach to teaching.
- Both experienced teachers and early‑career teachers are encouraged to apply.
