Classroom Assistant – Primary School (Gloucester)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Classroom Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Gloucester. You will work alongside teaching staff to support young learners, help plan lessons and ensure a smooth, inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging, accessible lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support, especially for pupils with additional needs (SEN).
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning atmosphere.
• Maintain classroom organisation and contribute to daily routines.
• Assist in lesson planning and help activities run smoothly.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about supporting young learners.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
• Full‑time availability (8:30 – 15:30) and ability to start ASAP.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
