Clean Water Operative

About the role

The Clean Water Operative will join a non‑core team delivering United Utilities contracts across the North West. Working on water networks, you will provide technical expertise to ensure first‑time right delivery while meeting client expectations in a cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain site safety, set‑ups and welfare for the public and team members.
• Carry out mains laying activities such as slip lining, pipe bursting and PMV installation.
• Use the NWP Modular Plus smartphone system to record commercial and reinstatement feedback.
• Liaise with Support Services and Street Works teams to manage FPN and Section 74 liabilities.
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping, time‑keeping and customer focus.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications (NRWSA, SSSTS, Butt Fusion Welding, CAT & Genny training, First Aid HSG 47, Safe Dig).
• Full UK driving licence and Shea Water EUSR Blue Card.
• Firm understanding of “right first time” and excellent communication skills.
