Cleaner – Every Other Weekend (Care Home)

About the role

This permanent contract position is based at Westerlands Care Village in Brough. You will work every other weekend, providing a clean and safe environment for 83 residents with a range of age‑related, physical and mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake routine and deep‑cleaning tasks throughout the home.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, polish floors and surfaces to high hygiene standards.
• Clean shared and personal bathrooms, toilets and kitchen areas.
• Maintain stock of cleaning products and ensure COSHH controls are followed.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for cleaning activities.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Willingness to learn on the job; prior cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently during weekend shifts.
