Cleaner – Manufacturing Site (Chester)

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Cleaner to join a busy manufacturing site in Chester. The role offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with the possibility of progressing to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled cleaning and housekeeping across production areas, offices, warehouses, stores, welfare facilities and communal spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, wash surfaces, empty waste bins and ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
• Maintain and replenish welfare facilities such as toilets, showers, changing rooms, sinks and hygiene stations.
• Operate industrial vacuums and powered cleaning machines safely.
• Support waste segregation and environmental practices.
• Assist with site facilities duties including restocking supplies, laundry cover, window cleaning and general maintenance.
• Contribute to external site presentation tasks such as car‑park upkeep, grass cutting and hedge trimming where trained.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and hygiene procedures and report any hazards.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or facilities experience, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse or commercial setting.
• Comfortable using cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and maintain high standards.
• Reliable, proactive and aware of workplace health and safety procedures.
