Cleaner – Primary School

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic cleaner to join the team at a primary school in Chester. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment for pupils, staff and visitors. This is a part‑time, temporary position starting September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and polish floors.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish toilet and hygiene supplies.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and store it correctly.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or health and safety concerns.
• Follow school cleaning schedules and procedures.

Required profile

• Reliable and punctual, able to work independently.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Positive attitude and team‑oriented.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
• Previous cleaning experience desirable but not essential (full training provided).
