Cleaner/Housekeeper – School Facilities

About the role

Join Amey as a Cleaner/Housekeeper on a six‑month fixed‑term contract supporting Lockerbie Academy. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and compliant learning environment for staff and students during term‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cleaning services in line with contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables as needed.
• Operate cleaning machinery safely following training and guidelines.
• Maintain high‑quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Uphold health & safety standards across the site.
• Support local and business zero‑carbon initiatives where appropriate.

Required profile

• Highly organised, responsible and detail‑oriented.
• Strong customer‑service attitude, friendly and approachable.
• Positive work ethic with a willingness to learn and support others.
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals and machinery safely.

What we offer

• £13.45 per hour, 15 hours per week (shift: 5:30‑8:30 am or 3:30‑6:30 pm).
