Cleaning Supervisor – Birmingham (Part-Time)

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient, high‑quality cleaning services in Birmingham, working 10 hours per week on a permanent part‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff.
• Actively participate in cleaning tasks to maintain high standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Train and support staff in cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
• Prepare staff schedules and monitor attendance and performance.
• Respond to feedback and resolve service‑related issues.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and management.
• Provide regular feedback and guidance to staff.
• Handle concerns or conflicts professionally.
• Promote a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and cleaning equipment.
• Report hazards, accidents, and near‑misses promptly.
• Provide training on manual handling, chemical safety, and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Supervisory experience leading a cleaning team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellent cleaning standards.
• Positive can‑do attitude with great attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to stay organised.
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks or schedules.
