Clear & Clean Operative - 12 Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Clear & Clean Operative to join our team in Blackburn on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for preparing empty homes for new residents by carrying out property clearance, final cleaning and garden work, ensuring a high standard of presentation and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Clear and clean vacant properties, including interior cleaning and garden maintenance.
• Sort and recycle waste in accordance with company and environmental policies.
• Communicate with residents and address any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Follow health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH regulations.
• Perform basic checks, servicing and maintenance of cleaning and garden equipment.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence.
• Practical experience in cleaning, caretaking or a similar customer‑focused environment.
• Ability to operate cleaning and garden machinery safely.
• Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and site‑specific safety protocols.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment and garden tools.

• Starting salary of £25,878 per year.
• 27 days holiday (rising to 32 after five years) plus bank holidays.
