Clerical Officer – Emergency Department (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Clerical Officer to join the Acute & Diagnostic Administration Team within the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit of NHS Dumfries and Galloway. This part‑time, fixed‑term position runs until February 2027 and involves a rotating 4‑week roster covering day, evening, weekend and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Emergency Department and Clinical Assessment Unit.
• Receive and register patients promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate closely with medical and nursing teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and manage patient flow at reception.
