About the role
Our client in Hitchin is seeking an ambitious Accountant to join a rapidly expanding practice. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, delivering accurate financial reporting and advisory support.
Key responsibilities
- Manage your own client portfolio and maintain strong relationships.
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts and detailed reports.
- Maintain accurate client financial records and perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant financial standards and regulations.
- Assist in client reviews and provide strategic financial advice.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience within an accountancy practice.
- Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to advise and support clients.
