Client Accountant

About the role

Mitchell Adam is partnering with a respected professional services firm in Birmingham to hire a Client Accountant. You will own a portfolio of clients, maintain regular contact, and become a trusted advisor on their financial performance, going beyond mere report production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and variance analysis.
• Analyse performance data and walk clients through the meaning of the numbers.
• Own a varied client portfolio, delivering regular financial reporting and actionable insights.

Required profile

• Experience producing management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
• Background in practice, outsourced finance or client‑accounting environments.
• ACCA/CIMA part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and clear reporting.
• Confident presenting financial information and discussing performance with clients.
