Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships and act as the primary advisor for assigned clients.
• Review and sign‑off statutory year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assess the quality of VAT returns and bookkeeping data.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns and self‑assessment tax returns.
• Check tax returns completed by junior staff and provide guidance.
• Support clients with general accounting and business queries, drawing on technical expertise.
• Oversee junior team members and ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified.
• Experience in an accountancy practice, including staff supervision and work review.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory and tax compliance.
• Proactive, commercially aware and confident communicator.
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
• QuickBooks accounting software.
