Client Business Partner

About the role

The Client Business Partner will be the primary finance contact for a portfolio of SME clients, helping owners interpret financial results and make informed commercial decisions. You will combine management reporting with insight‑led analysis and maintain regular client engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main finance contact for a portfolio of SME clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and stakeholders.
• Review management accounts and provide clear performance insight.
• Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning activities.
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Help clients maximise value from their accounting systems and data.
• Drive conversations beyond historical reporting towards forward‑looking analysis, financial planning and performance improvement.

Required profile

• Enjoys a mix of relationship management, financial interpretation and advisory work.
• Experience working with SME clients in a multi‑client environment.
• Strong analytical ability and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with business owners.
