Client Communications Accountant (Practice)

About the role

This client‑facing position blends solid accounting knowledge with exceptional communication skills. As the primary point of contact for over 850 clients, you will ensure a seamless, professional experience while supporting the practice’s Director and senior team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the firm’s hello@ inbox and respond to client emails promptly.
• Provide accurate answers to accounting and taxation queries.
• Liaise directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Process professional clearance requests.
• Write social media and blog posts to promote the practice.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Collaborate with Accounts & Tax Managers and the Practice Operations Executive.
• Take ownership of client enquiries from initial contact through resolution.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, independent thinker who takes ownership of tasks.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational abilities.
• Comfortable handling multiple client enquiries simultaneously.
• Experience in an accounting or finance environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with HMRC processes and correspondence.
• Strong client relationship management.
