Client Manager – Accountancy Practice (2 positions)

About the role

This modern, fast‑growing accountancy practice is seeking two Client Managers to join its team in Poole. You will manage a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and contractors, delivering high‑quality accounting and advisory services while helping the firm expand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Provide accounting, tax and business advisory services.
• Act as the primary contact for client queries and maintain strong relationships.
• Review work produced by junior staff and offer technical guidance.
• Mentor, support and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to add value and support business growth.
• Ensure work is accurate and delivered on time.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification (QBE candidates considered).
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Proactive mindset with a genuine desire to progress within a growing firm.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting software such as Xero.
• Familiarity with FreeAgent.
