Client Manager – Accountancy Practice (Bristol)

About the role

You will join an award‑winning accountancy practice in Clifton, Bristol, working within a friendly and supportive team. The role involves taking over an established client portfolio with a full handover, providing trusted advice to owner‑managed businesses and individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients as the main point of contact.
• Review year‑end accounts and oversee preparation of management accounts.
• Review corporation tax returns and liaise with the tax team.
• Provide proactive advice on accounting and business matters.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are met.
• Support, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Work closely with Partners to identify value‑adding opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of client service and compliance.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or qualified by experience).
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience reviewing and supporting junior staff.
