Client Manager – Accountancy Practice (Poole)

About the role

We are a modern, fast‑growing accountancy practice seeking two Client Managers / Senior Accountants to join our team in Poole. You will manage your own portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and contractors, delivering high‑quality accounting, tax and advisory services while supporting the practice’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Provide accounting, tax and business advisory services.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and maintain strong relationships.
• Review work produced by junior team members and offer technical guidance.
• Mentor, support and develop junior staff.
• Identify opportunities to add value and drive business growth.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualification, or in the final stages of qualification (QBE candidates considered).
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance.
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Proactive mindset with a desire to progress within a growing firm.

• Corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
• Cloud accounting software – Xero and FreeAgent.
