Client Manager – Chartered Accountancy Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join a growing chartered accountancy practice in Maidstone. The role offers autonomy, hybrid working and the chance to build long‑term relationships with SME owners while supporting a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
• Review accounts, tax compliance work and financial statements before submission.
• Provide practical accounting and taxation advice to business owners.
• Develop and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships as the first point of contact.
• Mentor junior and part‑qualified team members.
• Monitor workflow to ensure accurate and timely delivery of assignments.
• Collaborate with partners on advisory projects and process improvements.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied client portfolio.
