Client Manager – Chartered Accountants

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join a growing chartered accountancy practice in London/Kent. You will work closely with business owners, manage a diverse portfolio of SME and owner‑managed clients, and support a team of accountants while enjoying hybrid working and a competitive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of clients across multiple industries.
• Review accounts, tax compliance work and financial statements before submission.
• Provide practical accounting and taxation advice to business owners.
• Develop long‑term relationships and act as the first point of contact for clients.
• Support and mentor junior and part‑qualified team members.
• Monitor workflow to ensure accurate, on‑time delivery of assignments.
• Collaborate with Partners on advisory projects and client service enhancements.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal processes.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical accounting background and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships in a professional environment.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to handle a varied client portfolio.
