Client Relationship Manager (Accounts & Advisory)

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in Cumbria and take charge of a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed and family‑run businesses. This office‑based position blends compliance work with proactive advisory, giving you the chance to build long‑term client relationships and support their growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accounts, reporting and advisory support.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts and produce management accounts.
• Provide clear, practical financial advice to improve client performance.
• Identify opportunities for additional services and business improvement.
• Collaborate closely with Directors and senior leadership.
• Support business development through referrals and networking.

Required profile

• Experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
• Confident in managing client portfolios and building relationships.
• Commercially aware, proactive and strong communicator.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero.
• Proficiency with Sage.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
