Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Director

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their Director team in the City of London. The role involves leading a compassionate team that supports bereaved families through no‑win‑no‑fee claims for medical injury.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Board and ensure performance targets are achieved.
• Manage a full caseload of clinical negligence matters, including birth injuries, cosmetic surgery, dental and hospital negligence, misdiagnosis and surgical negligence.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
• Attend clients, take instructions, draft schedules of loss and correspondence.
• Review medical records, prepare court bundles and ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Maintain accurate time‑costing procedures and implement supervisory recommendations.

Required profile

• 2‑5+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury law.
• Clean, valid practising certificate at the time of application.
• Proven track record of managing complex cases to favourable outcomes.
• Experience supervising staff and meeting key performance indicators.

Required skills

• Civil Procedure Rules knowledge.
• Medical records review.
