Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Retraining Opportunity

About the role

A leading national law firm is seeking a solicitor to join its Medical Negligence team in Birmingham. The firm will provide support, mentoring and training to help you transition into clinical negligence litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contested matters from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, statements of case and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate with opposing parties and insurers.
• Maintain client relationships and provide regular case updates.
• Analyse complex factual and legal issues and develop case strategy.

Required profile

• 2‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in civil litigation.
• Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation process.
• Confidence in managing your own caseload and client communications.
• Ambition to develop a specialist career in high‑value clinical negligence claims.
• Collaborative, proactive approach within a high‑performing team.
