Clinical Nurse Specialist – Fixed Term (18 months)

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist position is a fixed‑term role (18 months) within NHS Scotland, working Thursday and Friday from 08:30 to 17:00. The role seeks an inspirational leader who is caring, compassionate and motivated to join a strong, empowered nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist nursing care to patients and service users.
• Lead and support the nursing team in line with the Nursing & Midwifery Strategic Plan.
• Participate in clinical education, induction programmes and preceptorship.
• Promote a collaborative, person‑focused approach to high‑quality, safe care.
• Contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives within the workforce.
