Clinical Pharmacist – Part‑time (18 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Winfield Hospital in Gloucester on a part‑time basis (18 hours per week). You will play a pivotal role in medicines optimisation, ensuring patients receive safe and effective medication throughout their care pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication reviews, reconciliation and prescription checks to optimise therapy.
• Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, consultants and multidisciplinary staff.
• Support safe procurement, stock management and control of medication supplies.
• Assist with the introduction, evaluation and monitoring of new medicines and therapies.
• Contribute to clinical governance through incident reporting, audits and learning initiatives.
• Support pharmacy operations including dispensing, supply and procurement processes.
• Help train and develop pharmacy colleagues across the hospital.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Clinical diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Independent Prescriber qualification (desirable).
