Clinical Pharmacist – Winfield Hospital

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at Winfield Hospital in Gloucester. The role focuses on medicines optimisation, ensuring patients receive safe and effective treatment from admission through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication review, reconciliation and prescription review to support optimisation.
• Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, consultants and staff.
• Assist with safe procurement, management and control of medication stock.
• Support the introduction and evaluation of new medicines and therapies.
• Contribute to clinical governance through incident reporting, audits and learning outcomes.
• Support pharmacy operations including dispensing, supply and procurement processes.
• Help train and develop colleagues across the hospital.

Required profile

• Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Clinical diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Independent Prescriber qualification (desirable).
