Clinical Scientist – Magnetic Resonance (MR)

About the role

An exciting opportunity to support research collaboration activities across multiple UK&I sites as part of a Europe‑wide team of Philips Clinical Scientists. Based in London, you will work closely with partners to shape future Philips MRI products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage research collaborations with partner sites, liaising with legal teams for agreement administration.
• Provide first‑line scientific support for research questions on customer sites and coordinate with internal experts.
• Contribute to academic papers by participating in customer research projects, including MR methods development and clinical research.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and represent their perspectives within Philips.
• Support local Philips organisation by maintaining knowledge of roadmaps, assisting with technical demonstrations, and delivering clinical training programs.
• Assist in local troubleshooting by coordinating with Engineering and Applications teams.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering or related field with a thesis or publications on MR topics.
• Strong interest in magnetic resonance and experience working in a clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present scientific information to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally abroad.

Required skills

• Independent operation of Philips MR scanners.
• Programming for research applications: pulse‑sequence development, image reconstruction and post‑processing analysis.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of MR innovations through conferences and interaction with research leaders.
