Clinical Service Manager – Cancer Services

About the role

The Clinical Service Manager (Cancer Services) will lead the delivery of specialist cancer care at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. Reporting to senior NHS leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, high‑quality, compassionate services for patients and supporting a highly skilled nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership to the cancer nursing workforce.
• Develop and implement service strategies aligned with the NHS Lothian Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Plan.
• Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient‑centred cancer care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise clinical pathways.
• Manage resources, budgets and performance metrics for the cancer service.
• Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a nursing or healthcare setting.
• Strong commitment to compassionate, high‑quality patient care.
• Ability to work within NHS values and strategic frameworks.
• Excellent communication and team‑building skills.
