Clinical Site Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking an inspirational Clinical Site Coordinator to join the nursing family at Western General Hospital, part of NHS Lothian. The role involves leading and supporting clinical staff to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care while aligning with the Nursing & Midwifery Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day‑to‑day coordination of clinical activities on the site.
• Work closely with the Clinical Education and Training team to deliver robust induction, preceptorship and ongoing education programmes.
• Promote a diverse, inclusive culture and support staff development in line with organisational values.
• Collaborate with senior managers to ensure safe, effective, and patient‑centred care.
• Participate in values‑ and competency‑based recruitment and interview processes.

Required skills

• Experience in clinical site coordination or similar healthcare leadership role.
• Knowledge of clinical education, induction and preceptorship processes.
• Understanding of competency‑based recruitment and interview techniques.
