Clinical Team Leader – Public Health Nursing

About the role

The Clinical Team Leader will provide professional, managerial and clinical leadership for the Bath and North East Somerset 0‑19 Public Health Nursing Service. Based at one of the local team sites, you will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure high‑quality outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Direct line management and clinical supervision of Specialist Public Health Nurses within the integrated 0‑19 team.
• Oversee the skill‑mix team, conduct annual appraisals and develop personal development plans.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory and mandatory training, identifying and arranging any required training.
• Monitor performance against key indicators and support service and corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of KPIs, the Healthy Child Programme and related national guidance.
• Extensive clinical experience and proven leadership in public health nursing.
• Knowledge of local and national policies affecting children and families.
• Post‑registration leadership experience in 0‑19 PHN nursing.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Registered SCPHN.
