Clinical Technologist Associate Practitioner – Medical Equipment

About the role

The Department of Medical Physics at Western General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technologist Associate Practitioner to join the Medical Equipment Management Service. This permanent, full‑time position (36 hours per week) supports the delivery, maintenance and safety of a wide range of medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide electronic and electro‑mechanical servicing for medical equipment across the hospital.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the medical physics team to optimise equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and upgrades.

Required profile

• Degree or technical HND (or equivalent) in electronics, medical engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in electronic or electro‑mechanical service roles.
• Self‑motivated, able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• PVG Scheme membership/record (or willingness to obtain it before start).
