About the role
The Clinical Trials Assistant will join the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit at Western General Hospital, supporting a diverse portfolio of infectious disease research, including vaccine studies, microbiology and respiratory infection trials.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with study set‑up, participant documentation and data collection.
- Enter and maintain trial data in study databases and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Support participant visits, process research samples and provide practical assistance during study delivery.
- Ensure all activities comply with ICH‑GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements from initiation to close‑out.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised individual.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience using a range of IT systems and databases in a research or clinical environment.
Required skills
- Proficient computer skills, including use of IT systems.
- Ability to manage and navigate databases for trial data.
