Clinical Unit Lead – Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Unit Lead to provide senior clinical and operational leadership for our residential care unit in Aberdeen. The role is focused on delivering safe, high‑quality nursing and dementia care for up to 86 residents, while supporting the development of the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the clinical team to ensure delivery of care in line with individual care plans, best practice and regulatory standards.
• Oversee clinical governance, medication management and performance monitoring across the unit.
• Drive continuous improvement, respond proactively to changes, and ensure compliance with NMC and Care Quality Commission requirements.
• Mentor, coach and develop staff, fostering a confident and capable team.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager and senior leadership on service delivery, staffing and operational oversight.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a current NMC PIN.
• Proven clinical leadership and decision‑making experience, preferably in a unit manager or similar role.
• Ability to oversee standards, compliance and performance within a care home environment.
• Strong communication, organisational and team‑development skills.
