Cloud Engineer – Contract (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join its Technology and Transformation team on an 11‑month contract. You will work on a global financial services client, delivering cloud infrastructure solutions in a hybrid environment based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Build robust software components in Go and Python.
• Create and execute comprehensive testing strategies with Selenium, Postman and Cucumber.
• Produce clear UML diagrams and service design artefacts.
• Balance rapid delivery with maintainability, security and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production‑critical issues, owning the end‑to‑end resolution process.

Required profile

• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Terraform and IaC practices.
• Proficiency in Go and Python development.
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Postman and Cucumber.
• Ability to produce UML diagrams and service design documentation.
• Background in software engineering and financial services is desirable.
