Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Azure (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve our client’s Azure environment. Working within a small, high‑performing tech team, you will ensure the cloud platform is secure, cost‑efficient and compliant while collaborating closely with developers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and optimise Azure infrastructure for reliability, scalability and cost.
• Support enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365, identity management and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strengthen cloud security posture and prepare for audit/compliance.
• Design and build infrastructure with developers using Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Drive FinOps practices and cost optimisation across the Azure estate.
• Implement monitoring solutions and lead incident response.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure services (PaaS, networking, containerisation, data services).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Comfort working in a regulated environment with change‑control and audit processes.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ‑305, AZ‑400) are a plus.
