Cloud Platform Engineer – Remote (UK)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Cloud Platform Engineer to join a fast‑growing technical consultancy. The role is fully remote within the UK, with occasional travel for customer and team meetings. You will work alongside senior consultants and architects to design, build and operate secure cloud platforms for a variety of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and configure cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS and optionally Azure.
• Deploy, manage and support OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Support migrations, upgrades, monitoring, resilience and continuous improvement of platforms.
• Troubleshoot issues across cloud, Linux, container and infrastructure layers.
• Produce technical designs, implementation documentation and runbooks.
• Engage directly with customers to capture requirements and resolve technical challenges.
• Assist senior architects with solution design and technical assurance.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in cloud, platform or DevOps engineering.
• Proven ability to discuss technical requirements and document designs.
• Comfortable communicating with both technical teams and customers.
• Interest in progressing towards cloud or solution architecture.
