Cloud Security Engineer – AWS (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal part in safeguarding our cloud environments, designing resilient architectures, and proactively mitigating security threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build secure, resilient cloud infrastructures on AWS.
• Develop, assess, and implement cloud security solutions for systems, databases, and networks.
• Monitor logs, perform vulnerability assessments, and analyse security incidents.
• Contribute to the definition and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards for cloud environments.
• Produce technical and managerial security reports for cloud‑based applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and test disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity procedures.
• Control access to sensitive data and ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Provide end‑user support for network and security‑related issues.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Information Security or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in information security with a focus on cloud security.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Deep technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) – IAM, Organizations, SSO, VPC, Transit Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, GuardDuty, WAF.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud (advantageous).
• Experience with DevSecOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Understanding of container security concepts.
