Cluster Lead Pharmacist – Fixed Term (Stewartry Cluster)

About the role

The Cluster Lead Pharmacist will oversee the General Practice Clinical Pharmacy (GPCP) teams within the Stewartry Cluster, based at Gardenhill Health Centre. This fixed‑term position (until 07/04/27) is central to delivering high‑quality pharmacy services and supporting the Clinical Strategy across GP practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line‑management for GPCPs operating in the Cluster.
• Lead the clinical delivery of the Pharmacy Service, ensuring effective medicines management and medication review.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary GP and CH&SC teams to optimise patient medication use.
• Support the implementation of the Clinical Strategy for the Stewartry Cluster.
• Act as a senior clinical advisor to GP practices within the Cluster.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with a solid background in community and clinical pharmacy.
• Demonstrated experience in leading pharmacy teams and managing clinical projects.
• Strong understanding of medicines management, medication review and multidisciplinary working.
• Ability to work within the NHS framework and contribute to strategic service development.
