CNC Machine Operator – Turning & Milling

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a motivated CNC Machine Operator to join its family‑run engineering business in Witheridge, near Tiverton. The successful candidate will work on both turning and milling CNC equipment, producing precision‑engineered components for a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and monitor CNC turning and milling machines.
• Load raw material and unload finished parts while maintaining production flow.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to produce components to exact specifications.
• Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment and record results.
• Identify and report any machine or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.

Required profile

• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and committed to high‑quality output.
• Own transport is essential due to the rural location.
