CNC Machinist – Aerospace/Fanuc Programming

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a long‑established precision engineering company that supplies specialist components to the aerospace sector. The role is day‑based, offering an early finish on Fridays and the chance to work with a variety of metals on 3‑ and 4‑axis turning machines.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and program CNC turning machines, primarily 3‑axis and 4‑axis Fanuc‑controlled equipment.
• Manufacture small‑batch, high‑precision components for blue‑chip aerospace clients.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Maintain tool inventories and ensure machine cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably with turning experience.
• Comfortable working a day‑based schedule with an early finish on Fridays.
• Ability to commute to Gillingham, Dorset.
• Commitment to quality and safety standards in a precision engineering environment.
