CNC Machinist – Permanent Full‑Time Role

About the role

Our client, a market‑leading engineering company, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a permanent position. You will work in a modern tool‑room environment, setting up and running CNC equipment to produce high‑quality components.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and set up CNC machines accordingly.
• Operate and program CNC turning and milling centres.
• Follow machine safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
• Plan and schedule production runs, monitor product standards and support quality‑control procedures.
• Maximise productivity, minimise downtime and maintain excellent housekeeping in the shop.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly performance reports as required.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained CNC machinist with a solid machining background.
• Ability to turn and mill, and to set, operate and programme CNC machines.
• Self‑disciplined, reliable and able to communicate effectively with the team.
• Willingness to work a 4‑day week (Monday‑Thursday 07:00‑19:00) followed by a night shift rotation (19:00‑07:00).
