CNC Machinist – Shift Premium, Aylesbury

About the role

Our client is seeking an organised CNC Machinist to lead the production of high‑quality metal components in Aylesbury. The role offers a competitive salary with a 15% shift premium and involves working on a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and CuNi.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out CNC milling operations as directed by production supervision.
• Set up, operate and maintain CNC machines.
• Machine carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and CuNi to required tolerances.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.
• Ensure work complies with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
• Participate in the quality control process for manufactured parts.

Required profile

• Proven experience setting up and operating CNC machinery.
• Understanding of CNC programming concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of metrology equipment and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (desirable).
• Basic IT literacy (desirable).
