CNC Machinist/Programmer – 4‑Day Week, Friday Off

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer to join a leading agricultural machinery manufacturer in Truro. The role offers a stable, full‑time position with a unique 4‑day working week and Fridays off, providing an excellent work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor CNC milling and turning machines to produce bespoke components.
• Program CNC equipment using manufacturer‑specific software and ensure optimal tool paths.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot faults and adjust machine parameters as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet delivery targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, Operator or Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Truro and commute from surrounding areas.
