CNC Miller – 3 & 5 Axis Mazak Milling

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Miller to program, set up and operate Mazak 3‑axis and 5‑axis milling machines in our Mechanical Workshop. The role supports the development of lightweight electric powertrains and high‑performance motorsport components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machinery to produce high‑quality parts.
• Manage time and workload efficiently to meet production targets.
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets stringent quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain industry best practices.
• Provide problem‑solving support and act as a role model for the workshop.

Required profile

• Proven record of CNC operation and programming, with experience in online and offline CAM methods.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on background preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high production standards.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Good time‑management and ability to work in a high‑technology environment.

Required skills

• Programming and operating Mazak CNC 3‑axis and 5‑axis milling machines.
• Knowledge of Mazatrol control systems.
• Familiarity with Solid Edge and Fusion 360 CAD software.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and models.
• Proficiency with a range of precision measuring equipment.
• Awareness of BSI 9001 and 14001 standards for safe machine operation.
