CNC Operator – Precision Engineering (Birmingham)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a leading precision‑engineering manufacturer in Birmingham. The role involves programming and operating CNC milling machines to produce high‑specification components for defence and other sectors. You will work a regular schedule with flexitime and an early finish on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and program CNC milling machines (FANUC control).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Produce bespoke precision parts from a variety of materials.
• Maintain machine tooling and ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet delivery targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller with programming capability.
• Familiarity with FANUC CNC controls (or similar).
• Ability to work on a Monday‑to‑Thursday 7:30‑16:30 schedule and Friday 7:30‑13:30.
• Commute distance to West Bromwich/Birmingham.

What we offer

• Salary up to £42,000‑£60,000 per year, plus overtime at 1.5× rate.
