CNC Setter Operator – Mill/Turn (Aerospace)

About the role

Moog Aircraft Group is seeking an experienced CNC Setter Operator (Mill/Turn) to join its manufacturing team in Wolverhampton, UK. The role involves working on aerospace components that require exceptionally close tolerances and high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC mill and turn machines (e.g., Okuma, Mazak, DMG, Matsura, Puma).
• Perform first-off inspections and complete all required quality documentation.
• Use precision measurement equipment to verify drawing tolerances.
• Maintain machine tools and ensure proper tooling selection for each job.
• Adhere to shift patterns and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a machine-shop environment, preferably aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, multi-axis/complex machining and appropriate tooling.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate inspection records.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and ability to hold a quality stamp.
