CNC Turner – 4‑Day Week, Evening Shifts & Programming Training

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner who can set‑up and operate Victor and Fanuc turning centres on a 4‑day week schedule. The role includes evening shifts (2:30 pm‑12:30 am) with a 21 % shift allowance and the opportunity to receive programming training.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up and operate Victor and Fanuc CNC turning machines in a workshop environment.
• Perform quality checks on machined components and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and adhere to health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner/Setter on Victor and Fanuc equipment.
• Willingness to commute to the Shildon workshop (Newton Aycliffe area).
• Ability to work the specified evening shift pattern (Mon‑Thu).

Required skills

• Victor CNC turning control.
• Fanuc CNC control.
• Multi‑axis turning operations.
• Basic CNC programming (training provided).
• Heidenheim tooling knowledge.
