CNC Turner – Full‑time position in Brentwood

About the role

We are looking for a proactive CNC Turner to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Brentwood. The successful candidate will program and operate lathes, turning machines and grinders, delivering high‑quality components to tight tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, turning machines and grinders using Fanuc controls.
• Build and assemble tools required for production runs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to set up jobs.
• Produce components to specified tolerances and surface finish.
• Carry out routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Recent (within 6 months) experience as a CNC Setter/Programmer on lathes, turning machines and grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and precision when machining metals.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
• Own transport for commuting to the site.

What we offer

• Salary up to £44,000 per year, DOE plus overtime.
